Starting May 6, 2025, MWM Environmental will be providing curbside pick-up services to urban residents of Prairie View Municipality.
Please note where your cart has been placed, as this is where it will be picked up for service.
MWM Environmental offers a program for seniors and individuals with disabilities who require assistance getting their cart to the curb. If you require assistance, please contact either municipal office in Birtle or Miniota, or email info@myprairieview.ca.
Dumpsters for rural residents will be provided in Arrow River, Beulah, Crandall, Isabella, Solsgirth & Foxwarren. All items in these rural residency-dumpsters are to be bagged: BLUE for recycling; any other colour for garbage. Household garbage only.

Compost
Miniota compost site is located outside the gates at the Miniota Waste Disposal Grounds.
Birtle compost site is located north east of the arena. You are invited to add your compostables to the "ADD HERE” pile and take finished compost from the "No Dumping” pile. Please do not add fresh compost to the finished pile.
If you are placing items in the compost site, remove them from the plastic bags used to transport them.
Compostable material includes:
- vegetable trimmings
- fruit rinds & peeling
- leaves and grass clippings
- garden waste
Please do not add:
- animal waste
- ashes
- plastic bags and containers
- metal and glass
- large branches
- garbage
- raspberry canes
- corn stalks
- meat products
